The Oneida Indian Nation of New York

Design and construction of a 70,000 sf. facility. Turning Stone was the first legalized casino in the State of New York. The $16,000,000 project included multiple gaming areas, three different types of restaurants, a gift and smoke shop and support facilities. Barrel vault skylights run the length of the building, opening up the heart of the structure to nature. The interior is radiant with vivid graphics and playful bold colors against a white background.

Located on a 385-acre site, planning included the design and construction of two freshwater ponds, large-scale landscape design, parking for patrons and employees and construction of on-site potable water and a tertiary sanitary sewage treatment facility.

Today the Turning Stone Casino is exceptionally successful and a key source of employment for the region. It has expanded beyond this first building to a multi-million dollar, high-end destination resort.
